Team Jamaica Bickle, Philadelphia Chapter was formed by Blane F. Stoddart. This committee serves as host to the visiting athletes participating in the annual Penn Relays. Many of the athletes are from Jamaica, as well as other Caribbean Islands, including the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Guyana, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, and Trinidad & Tobago. During the event, TJB Philadelphia’s organizing committee coordinates volunteers to assist with a number of activities including, but not limited to:
- Providing hospitality services out at the TJB Carnival tent during the three-day event
- Partnering with local restaurants to ensure each athlete is fed during their entire stay in Philadelphia
- Planning and executing ground transportation from the hotel to the event site, Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania.
